Time to go...

Unfortunatelly the days passed so fast! It is time to leave my greek friends and start my trip to France.
I had a really great time here and i hope some day we will meet again. 
I said good bye to my new friends and i am ready to go. Mr Yiannis will drive me to the post office.

In the school yard

I'm tired!

In the gym

I have not visited the gym yet! Today i'm going there, to see what are they doing!

 
 I need to go downstairs. Eleftheria will guide me.

Ok, here we are. This is the PE teacher. Nice to meet you Mr. Stavros!





The gym is nice but it could be much better. Plastic floor is good and also well equiped but not much space as it is a small gym. But it is better than nothing!

Oh, what do we have to do now??? Traditional dances is part of the PE lesson. I will try to dance Greek!!!

A tour in the school

Today i went with the pupils to know the school better. It is a very big building with 3 floors and accessible to disabled people.

Here i am at the school door. Behind me, painted on the wall, is Mr. Comenius, the mascot they created for the Comenius project they had in 2010-2012.

When you enter the building there is a big hall with the Headmaster's and Teachers' offices. The hall is decorated with flags and things made by recycled materials, also made for the Comenius project.





Then i went to the school theater. 

Wow! It is a big school! I am hungry now. Let's go to the canteen to eat something! Mrs Eugenia gave me a delicious cruller!











I feel better now!!!

Let's go to the computer laboratory... I'm talking to the IT teacher introducing myself and saying a few things about my school.





Let me check my emails! And maybe help the kids with their computer work!

Well, it is a sunny day in a sunny classroom! Let me put my sunglasses on!

In my new classroom

I will spend the next days until i go with the pupils in 3b class. I thought it would be good to take a look arond first. And the best place is to be on the whiteboard!

Hmm, let me take a closer look to those cabinets. They put here their books and things they use for arts lesson!

Look at this Billbard! They have posters from Altea, a city in Spain because they worked together in a Comenius Project! And a nice tree! On the leaves, they have written a few things to introduce themselves. Very good idea!

And here is the place they have prepaired for me, when i will be alone at school. I have my own corner to rest, together with the other mascots they have made to propose! After Apollonia was chosen, they decided, these other mascots to stay here and keep company to the visitors like me!

Lets sit ON the desks! Here i am with half the pupils of the class. They are 12 girls and 11 boys!

Changing classroom

The days in 3a past very fast and now i have to change room and go to 3b. The students cam to pick me.
Woww! I think i am very important! They are making something like a ceremony to say goodbye to me!

With the Vice Headmaster

Today i visited the Vice Headmaster. I already know him, because i was in his class when i arrived and introduced my self to the students of his class. Mr. Yiannis was very friendly with me, although he was busy too.
He told me that the school participates in many events and projects. Last June finished a Comenius Project he was responsible for together with the other teacher i know, Mrs Maria. He told me that the students are always very happy when they have the chance to run a European project and that's why they wanted to join us this year too.

After our conversation he asked me if i can help him to make some photocopies and of course i was very happy to do it!

In Headmaster's office

Today i visited the Headmaster's office. I wanted to talk with him but he was very busy. So, i decided to take a look at his computer and after stand in front of the monitor so he can't work more and talk to me! 

After that, Mr. Stavros took me in his arms and I asked him about the school. He told me that the school has:
3 floors, 21 classrooms, 1 canteen, a big yard and two smaller, gym, music classroom, library, computer laboratory
12 classes
1 class for students with special needs
274 students
25 teachers

The school participates in sports and many times they win the school championships. So i decided, before i leave Mr. Stavros' office to take a picture in front of some championship cups...

What a strange... lesson!

The first lesson i attended was NOT a lesson!!! They don't use books!!! What are they doing?
